Shilpa R. Desai
Physician Associate Shilpa R. Desai began her Medical Aesthetics career with an extensive background in the medical field. Shilpa earned her Registered Respiratory Therapy credential in Applied Sciences and a Bachelor of Arts in liberal studies at SUNY Purchase, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences and a Master of Physician Assistant Studies from Mercy College. After becoming a Board -Certified Respiratory Therapist in 1996, she worked as a pharmaceutical territory representative before becoming a Board Certified (NCCPA) Physician Associate in 2006.
As a Physician Associate, Shilpa’s career included working in vascular surgery, general neurology, oncology, radiology, and in emergency medicine. After recognizing her desire to work within medical aesthetics, Shilpa began earning certifications and completing advanced training in aesthetic dermatology and shifted her career working full time in a renowned medical spa, where she exceeded in providing advanced procedures involving neurotoxin injections, dermal filler injections, laser procedures, Platelet-rich plasma injections for hair restoration, and facial and body rejuvenation procedures as well as vaginal rejuvenation and body sculpting procedures. Shilpa is driven to help men and women as the age to feel more confident about the way the look and feel. Shilpa views her work as an artist. She is passionate about her work and can perform advanced treatments such as non-surgical liquid rhinoplasty along with providing corrective work for patients who were not happy with results they have received elsewhere.
Shilpa has been featured in the New Beauty magazine and is recognized as one of the top 1% of injectors in the nation. Shilpa currently holds certifications from the Esthetic Skin Institute in Advanced Dermal Fillers and Neurotoxin Injections, as well as certifications in lasers, Ultherapy, other skin rejuvenation procedures and a Masters in CoolSculpting.
Shilpa has been a vegetarian all her life, practicing the spiritual teachings of Jainism. Outside of work, Shilpa likes to spend time with her family and her fiancé and her two rescue dogs, along with boating and kayaking in the Long Island Sound. Shilpa is actively involved in several dog rescue organizations and other charities.
Lisa comes to Bella Tu with close to 18 years of Medical Aesthetic experience. After graduating from Pace University, Lisa spent 10 years in the field of Interior Design. It was during that time of making spaces beautiful that she realized she had another passion – making faces beautiful. Lisa loves helping her clients feel and look their best through skin care, facials, hydrafacials, and micro-needling. She is certified in CoolSculpting and Lasers. Lisa also has an interest in Real Estate and invests back in her community by purchasing and renovating homes with her husband and dog! Lisa loves to explore the natural beauty of the Hudson Valley and loves to garden, a passion she inherited from her Mom!
